I
have qualified for Skate Ontario Provincial STARskate Championships for
Junior Silver Men’s
Freeskate placing third and fourth; at the 2007 Homesense National
STARSkate Championships where I placed first in Bronze Men Triathlon.
At the 2008 HomeSense STARSkate National Championships I place first
in Gold Triathlon and third in Gold Dance Biathlon. I placed third at
the 2009 HomeSense Trillium Skate Ontario Provincal STARSkate
Championships in Gold Men’s Freeskate. I am the 2009 HomeSense
STARSkate Gold Dance Biathlon and 2009 HomeSense STARSkate Gold Men’s
Triathlon National Champion. I also compete for the University of
Guelph Gryphons Varsity Figure Skating Team in the Open Men’s event
and in the Syncro event. I have also achieved the gold level in all
four testing disciplines; skills, dance, freeskate, and interpretive.
I am a Skate Canada certified Professional Canskate coach, NCCP level 1 theory, I am certified as a Primary STARSkate Coach (level 1) by Skate Canada. I have been a Professional Canskate and STARSkate coach for the three years at the Fergus Skating Club. Also, I have coached CanSkate, KidSkate, and STARSkate at the Elmira Figure Skating Club for two years. With the University of Guelph Varsity Figure Skating Team I have choreographed many of the teams programs that were skated in the many competitions throughout the year as well as edited the music which was used for these and many other programs for the team. I am currently entering my fourth at the University of Guelph for a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Human Kinetics. I plan to use this knowledge to become an Athletic Therapist or Physiotherapist. |

1) with a GOLD CEP* status. I have
been coaching all year round (including summer), on and off for 17
years including many years in Australia, I
moved to Canada in November 2008.

Program, Skate Canada encourages
coaches to attend coaching seminars hosted by top
coaches from the U.S and Canada, to update their coaching
knowledge, points for attendance
are assigned and Bronze, Silver and Gold status is awarded.

Canskate/Junior Director
I have been a
full-time skate Canada coach for 37 years. in various clubs across
Canada. 21 years with the Brant Skating Club. For the past several I
have been the director and co-director of the Flashing Blades ice show.I am a NCCP Level 3 certified
coach and have started on my level 4 tasks. I have studied dance at the
University of Waterloo specializing in choreography and music. For the
past 17 years I have been owner and operator of The Three Seasons
Skating School offering ice time and programs to the skaters in
surrounding areas in the Spring Summer and Fall. I enjoy coaching all
levels of skating from Canskate to competitive and pre preliminary to
Gold levels. I have had many skaters achieve their Gold medals in Free
skate, Skills and Interpretive and many skaters pass their competitive
tests in Juvenile, Pre-novice, Novice and Junior.

I am very excited to be returning to the professional coaching staff of the Brant Skating Club for my third season of coaching. I am a NCCP Level 1 Certified Coach with Gold Skate Canada CEP (Continuous Education Program) Status. I have begun working on my ISPC (Level 2) certification. I
began my skating career at the Brant Skating Club in 1998, passing my
Gold Skills and Freeskate tests, as well as my Senior Silver and
Pre-Novice Competitive Dance tests. I was the 2005 and 2006
Ontario STARSkate Champion. In 2007, I competed at the
STARSkate National Championships in Calgary, Alberta, placing second in
the Gold Triathlon event. In terms of ice dance, I have been
fortunate enough to train for 3 years under Paul Macintosh, who was the
former coach of 2010 Olympic Ice Dance Champions, Tessa Virtue and
Scott Moir. |

I have been on the Brant Skating Club staff as a professional coach for 41 years. I am a gold medalist in Figures and Free Skating., Senior Silver Dance medalist with two gold dances. I also teach at the Woodstock and Burford skating clubs. I teach private lessons from Canskate, Pre-preliminary, Intermediate to Senior categories. My students have passed Preliminary to Gold tests, Freeskate, Dance Skills and Interpretative. I have had competitive skaters attain their Juvenile, Pre-Novice, Junior and Senior competitive tests. I am a Level 4 certified coach and was selected to be a team coach at the Ontario Winter Games in March 2006. Throughout the year I attend many Ontario competitions and seminars. I was privileged to attend the Professional Skater's Association seminar in Chicago 2008. 900 coaches attending with Brian Orser as a Presenter. I was recently presented with a 50 year pin at the Western Ontario Section Annual Meeting signifying my 50 years of coaching. I am available to teach private lessons to all skaters from Canskate to Gold level in all the different categories from badges, dance, freeskate, skills and interpretive. | |

Preschool
Director I began skating at 9 years old and competed at the pre-novice and novice competitive levels. I have achieved my Gold level tests in Free Skate, Dance, Skills and Interpretive, and began learning my triple jumps in Barrie On, before I had to retire due to injuries. I have been coaching now for 8 years with my Level One coaching and working on my level 2 coaching. This summer I have received my licence as a Registered Massage Therapist and am excited to apply my new knowledge of the body in training and in injury to my coaching. I am absolutely in love with skating and I love passing on the best of my skating knowledge on to anyone at any level who wants to learn to skate. I teach all disciplines at all levels of testing and look forward to opportunities to embark on competitive levels and choreography. I’m excited to work with the Brantford Skating Club and wish us all a fantastic skating season! |

I
am an NCCP Level 1 certified coach and choreographer and I
have been
working professionally at various clubs across canada for the past 16
years. I have had the privilege of working with skaters of all ages and
abilities including National, World and Olympic champions. I am an 8
time national championship competitor, a 2 time Canadian national team
member, a world junior competitor and an international gold medalist. I am an original member of the National Ice Theater of Canada and recently skated as a company member of the Ice Theatre of New York. I am also a professional actor having graduated from the MacEwan Theater Arts program in Edmonton Alberta as well as having attended the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts in England. I enjoy using my vast experience in theatre, music and dance to help skaters find their "inner artist". |
